Job Description

Public Storage has an immediate opening for a Centralized Facilities Specialist based in our Plano, Texas Office. A Facilities Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring that our facilities are well-managed, compliant and contribute to the overall success of the Centralized Facilities Department. Specifically, you are the Primary Liaison between Contractors and Internal Customers. You will manage vendor performance; problem solve and address escalations pertaining to the National Repair and Maintenance program.


  • Issue Service Requests through internal CMMS software. 
  • Execute vendor management strategies for National Repair and Maintenance programs.
  • On-board and train contractors on CMMS software and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, and government jurisdictions.
  • Generate reports and use data to identify trends, vendor performance and areas for improvement. 
  • Collaborate with different teams, departments, and site managers to address escalations.
  • Primary liaison between vendors and internal customers.
  • Proactively communicate schedules, delays and exceptions to stakeholders.  


  • Experience in facilities management, service organization or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in managing relationships with external service providers and contractors is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in using CMMS software, Microsoft Office Products
  • Strong communication skills are needed to interact with various stakeholders, including employees, management, and external partners. Clear and concise communication helps relay updates and schedules.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage schedules, and detailed reporting is crucial in ensuring consistent vendor deliverables.
  • Capacity to analyze data to track performance and make data driven decisions.
  • Adaptable and able to handle unexpected challenges.
