![]() MoniqueProperty Management CareerMonique is a property manager at our Santa Ana facility. A former substitute teacher, Monique started off her career at Public Storage as a relief manager and has been with the company for almost three years now. As a working mother, Monique finds Public Storage sensitive to her needs, allowing for a flexible schedule. When asked to explain what she likes best about her Public Storage Property Management Career, she told us that it's the customers who make her job worthwhile. "Really it comes down to the people. I love to hear both the good and bad stories that bring people to need storage. When tenants stay a while you feel like you know them." Monique summarized her contributions by adding, "We help people with the transitions in their lives. I just try to make it easier for them." Her position allows her "a chance to help people. Both with their storage needs and sometimes just by listening." Monique credits her success to the support of her family and her team. "Our District Manager gives us goals that he expects us to meet and we can't do it alone. We all call each other and help each other. I can't let my team down. "Monique agrees that the role of a property manager is a challenging and active one. "To an extent you have to be self-motivated. I truly love my job and that in itself keeps me going." She said her status as a Real Storage Expert is a rewarding experience. "I am learning every day, but for only being here a few years I have grown so much." Monique's Property Manager Photos |
