At Public Storage, the District Manager plays an essential role in driving our business and ensuring that our customers are completely satisfied. Each District Manager has a team of field employees that are responsible for the day to day operations of 8-10 self storage properties, on average. Ultimately, it is the District Manager's responsibility to develop a strong and consistent sales culture within his/her team and ensure that each team member is providing each customer outstanding customer service. The District Manager has a multitude of tools at his/her disposal to support this process including sales scripts, overcoming objections suggestions, role playing scenarios and much more, including a comprehensive retail training program.

Our District Managers must come to us with a strong work experience in multi-unit retail management that includes experience in building sales and customer service teams, staff selection and development, payroll and other expense controls and policy compliance at each location.

The District Manager is one of the most demanding roles in our organization but it's also one of the most rewarding, requiring extensive management experience, advanced organizational, computer, and people skills, and boundless energy.
