5:45 a.m. Checked attendance report for the previous day. Said good morning to the agents on my team who are already in the office. I brought donuts for them.
6:30 Spent some time on the floor with the sales team.
7:00 Monitored morning agents for call-quality (three agents).
8:00 Ran sales performance report for the previous day. Sales were good for my team. Finished in third place out of ten teams. Passed out the performance data to the team and celebrated success.
9:00 Met with my boss to double check sales report for March, along with February production report. Made sure all the agents had the right numbers.
11:00 Put together team contest for sales. Top four agents reserving over 65% between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. will win two movie tickets and candy, but must have ten calls or more to qualify. Need to pump agents up to sell right now. Team average at 11 a.m. is only 62.86%. Let’s go!
11:30 Met with top-performing agent so far this year to discuss slow start in April. Just checking to make sure everything is okay and that they are focused on the team objective this month.
12:00 p.m. Lunchtime, yes! Starving! Ordered pizza for my sales team from Big Mama’s & Papa’s Pizzeria in Glendale. So good!
2:30 Checked team’s performance for the day. Team has improved to 65.57%, up 2.71% since the start of the sales contest at 11 a.m.. Recognition time—passed out gifts to winning agents on the team. Between now and 4 p.m., set goal for 66% or better and double the prize for the top three agents!
3:00 Agent meeting to discuss overall sales for March and goals for April. Checked for understanding of the sales process and the correct way to present storage.
4:00 Went home for the day. Wow, long day, but the team reached 66.43% for the day. YES!
